Mission

Our mission is to serve as a safe haven; to rescue, rehabilitate, and whenever possible re-home barnyard, exotic, and special needs animals within the central North Dakota region. We strive to provide excellent care and high quality of life for all in our sanctuary, for as long as they are with us.

About Jessica Hawkes

Jessica Hawkes, founder of Hawkes Homestead Animal Sanctuary
Hawkes Homestead Animal Sanctuary Founder, Jessica Hawkes.

Jessica Hawkes is a fifth-generation New Rockford native with a deep and abiding love of all animals. The founder, executive director, and “Mom” of Hawkes Homestead Animal Sanctuary, Jess does most of the day-to-day work of running the sanctuary, in addition to working a “real” job. With experience in everything from fitness and law to nonprofits and education, Jessica’s good at a lot of stuff, but best at being “Mom” to all the animals who need her (and a fair number of humans, too).
